Delphi Campbell
Bio
Delphi Campbell (b. 1998) is a self-proclaimed “crippled, mad and queer” sculptor exploring the multifaceted self through figurative and abstract self-portraiture.
Aiming to confront the limited and hegemonic portrayal of disability in popular culture, Delphi’s relationship with chronic illness is at the core of her work. Sickness and queerness align, allowing her to embrace multiple illnesses in the form of what may superficially appear as fun and frivolous; but is a more radical challenge in confronting the narrative of living in an othered body, and ideas of being 'normal'.

Bywgraffiadau
Mae Delphi Campbell (g. 1998) yn gerflunydd “cripledig, gwallgof a chwiar hunan-gyhoeddedig sy'n archwilio'r hunan amlochrog trwy hunanbortread ffigurol a haniaethol.
Gan anelu at wynebu’r portread cyfyngedig a hegemonig o anabledd mewn diwylliant poblogaidd, mae perthynas Delphi â salwch cronig wrth wraidd ei gwaith. Mae salwch a bod yn cwiar wedi’i alinio, gan ganiatáu iddi gofleidio salwch lluosog ar ffurf yr hyn a all ymddangos yn arwynebol yn hwyl ac yn wamal; ond mae'n her fwy radical wrth wynebu'r naratif o fyw mewn corff arall, a'r syniadau o fod yn 'normal'.
